On the other hand, the eastern section is very steep. The bricks on this part of the wall are stamped with the code of the army that made them as well as the date they were made.

There is more to the Simatai Great Wall than just the wall itself. From here you can visit and experience such attractions as the Fairy Tower, the Heavenly Ladder, the Sky Bridge and the Watching Beijing Tower from which you can see the city of Beijing.

It is possible to take a cable car, and an iron rope bridge to help you get the best views of the valley below. There is even a service that provides opportunities for boating on the Yuanyang Lake. This wall has so much to offer there is even a cultural festival, and gliding festival and, a climbing.
